Getting Around Town

Eureka springs

Whether you're traveling by car, transit or bike, getting around town is easy in Eureka Springs. Here are some tips for the best way to enjoy your experience in our destination.

Trolley Services

During busy weekends and special events, parking along Main Street and Spring Street fills up quickly. In that case – or if you’re planning to stay a while – your best bet is Eureka Springs Transit Service. The service runs rubber-wheeled trolleys throughout the region, making it quick and convenient to get around without your car.

  •       The Red Route loops through the heart of Eureka Spring. You can pick it up at the parking lot of the Transit & Welcome Center or at the Planer Hill Park & Ride on the south end of downtown. The 20-minute loop runs along Main Street and Spring Street before working its way back to the Transit & Welcome Center.
  •       The Blue Route starts at the Transit & Welcome Center, runs along Main Street, then travels east to The Great Passion Play with access to Christ of the Ozarks by request before looping back. Service is limited in winter.
  •       The Yellow Route parallels the Blue Line running in the opposite direction.
  •       The Purple Route runs northwest of downtown, providing access to a variety of hotels and restaurants as well as the Thornhill Chapel and Lake Leatherwood City Park (by request).

Parking for the trolley service is $5 per day. All-day ride passes are $6 per adult and $2 per child (ages 7 through 11).

You can also find metered parking along Spring Street. The PassPort app lets you pay for your parking and renew it, if necessary, all from your phone.

Eureka Springs and the Ozarks are home to some of the country’s best mountain biking. Skip the overcrowded parking at the trailhead and let a shuttle service put you on the path to adventure.

Adventure Mountain Outfitters, based on Spring Street in downtown, or The Gravity Feed shuttles riders to the Lake Leatherwood Gravity Project, where they can tackle more than 20 miles of challenging single-track loaded with rock ledges, steep slopes, and creek crossings.
