The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow Presents ‘Creative Nature’ a collaborative workshop featuring Watercolor artist Amber Leibee and Ozark nature poet Amy Vollmar on Saturday, September 14th.

Amber Leibee will start the day at 9:00 AM with her three-hour workshop “Create a Nature/Travel/Adventure Journal”. In this fun and relaxing workshop, you will learn to use pen, pencil, and water media to create pages in a nature, travel, or adventure journal*. Using nature as inspiration we will compose journal pages using artistic concepts.

Starting at 1:00 PM that day, Amy Vollmar’s workshop, “The Nature of Poetry,” you’ll begin by using collage to decorate a small clipboard that will hold your outdoor writing. Then you’ll head outside to a trail to explore the landscape in a playful way, becoming an Ozarks creature through your own poetry. Would you like to become a bobcat, or a gray fox, for half an hour? Bring all of your senses and your imagination–you’re about to join the fun of writing Ozarks nature poetry!
